Nature doesn’t change, nature evolves. Change, usually has the objective of making pain or discomfort go away. Evolving does not run from discomfort but rather uses it. Evolving means that the same discomfort or pain doesn’t attack you twice, change could leave that option wide open next week. Evolving means you have a purpose that makes growing from challenge worthwhile, but change just wants to get away from discomfort or pain with no other objective. It’s the difference between trusting nature and randomly seeking to fix things temporarily.

#1. CHERRY PICKING FOR CHANGE VERSUS EVOLVING FOR GROWTH

CHANGING SOMETHING – CHERRY PICK THE ISSUE

When we feel a challenge or a pain and we go to that area of life to fix it, more often than not, changing something in one area creates an equally annoying problem in another area of life. For example: things not great at home so we try to work less and spend more time with partner. As a result, work suffers, self-worth suffers, health suffers. So we really didn’t improve our situation, just moved the pain elsewhere.

EVOLVE SOMETHING – CHANGE ONE – CHANGE ALL

When we feel a challenge or pain and we know we need to evolve, we look to expand all seven areas of life. This is the Back on Track™️ process. We change our mind, body, environment, priorities, vision, self talk and therefore results. By evolving we ask “how do i get more done in less time” rather than solve a problem by changing the time we dedicate to it, we work to solve the problem by dedicating less time to it by improving the process we apply.

#2. EMOTIONAL REACTION FOR CHANGE VERSUS EVOLVING FOR GROWTH

CHANGING SOMETHING – FINDING MORE PAIN THAN PLEASURE THAT’S GOT TO OR SHOULD BE FIXED

Change is driven by a reaction in the bottom of the consciousness cone. It is the primitive, primal response to threat and is often called “fight or flight.” Either way, emotion is the driving force and the nervous system is triggered at 90% or more. People who do this live short lives and or live long medicated lives with mental health issues.

EVOLVE SOMETHING – FINDING THE BALANCE AND CHOOSING TO – LOVING TO IMPROVE

Evolve is driven by the opposite of emotion. Action rather than reaction drives evolution. In evolution there is a conscious consideration of the process and it is done with intensity and urgency but without nervous reaction. The nervous system is operating at 40% or less. This person lives long and mentally healthy. They will also derive more enjoyment from life as there is a sense of balance in their perceptions, called fulfilment.
